Joanne Michener MSN, RN – President

Joanne has over 20 years of experience in Critical Care, Emergency and Trauma Nursing. She earned her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia where she was awarded a dual Clinical Specialty title in both Critical Care and Psychiatric Nursing.

After working in a variety of staff nurse positions, Joanne became a Nurse Manager and then a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

In this role she served as the Psycho-Social Liaison on the Trauma Service in the Department of Surgery and Emergency Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital through a grant from the William Penn Foundation.

In addition to her extensive experience in Adult Nursing, Joanne has also worked with Children in various capacities. Besides working in the Pediatric Emergency Room, she also worked for several years as a Camp Nurse and Program Counselor for the Girls Scouts of America and The Boy's Athletic League of New York City. She also served as a group instructor for Project Reach Youth, also of NY City.

Joanne has worked for the past 15 years in various aspects of the recruitment field including executive search, permanent, temporary, and travel placement. In addition to the general skills and perspective this experience provides, her facility management experience allows her to bring to the staffing business a crucial understanding of the importance of cost containment in healthcare and educational facilities today.

Brian Boyle – VP of Operations

Brian graduated from Temple University in 2010 and has been with Devon Health Care Group for over 5 years. While the bulk of his work is with finance, Boyle was initially drawn to the healthcare industry to help others.

"It is a good feeling, going home at the end of the day, knowing that you've made a child's life just a little bit better."

Prior to working with Devon, Boyle worked as a tutor for summer school students in West Philadelphia. He says it was there that he learned how rewarding it could be to help others.

Going forward, Boyle believes that the future of Devon Health Care is bright. "We try to show our clients how much we care," says Boyle, "how important each child is to us. I think that is part of what makes our team so successful."

Sara Turner – Director of Case Managment

Sara brings over 8+ years of psychological and case management experience to Devon Health Care Group. Sara graduated from Ohio University with a B.A. in Psychology and from Kent State University with an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.), in School Psychology.
